THE SECOND SUPPER SESSION WITH THE GUEST FROM KUALA LUMPUR

We first thought that we would only meet one time for supper when Mr. Azman was here in town [READ HERE]. We were wrong, however, as he had the free slot for another supper session before leaving Johor Bahru tomorrow.

We just went to a Mamak restaurant nearby, i.e. Aliff Bistro, which had already been rebranded. It was a short chat session over Roti Canai, Toasts and Iced Green Tea as wo both had to wake early tomorrow morning.

Thanks again to Mr. Azman for the time spent despite the long working hours he had had during the day. Hope to see him again some other time when he is back in town, or when I am in Kuala Lumpur.

MEETING AN EX-CLASSMATE FOR BREAKFAST AT SELERA JOHOR

An ex-Budiman classmate of SMS Muar was in town as he had some work to attend to in UTM. A breakfast date was set today and the chosen venue was Selera Johor [again].

Mr. Abdul Razak Sapian was one of the few names in my list of classmates whom I frequently met after we finished school and I had to thank him for still keeping in touch despite his busy schedule. We had to bid farewell and hoping for another meeting to happen soon.

MEETING A FRIEND FROM KUALA LUMPUR FOR SUPPER

A friend was in town due to work related matter. It was the best time to meet up and get ourselves updated of the latest development.

The chosen venue was Banafe Restaurant for our supper. It was actually the late dinner for me.

Thanks to  to Mr Azman for the time and company. It was only a short dine in session but it was worth the time and effort. The next meeting would be possible but the date and time remained unknown. Some things just happen without any plan and expectation.

THE BLOOMING HIBISCUS IN MY FRONT YARD

Besides the Bougainvillea [READ HERE], I also have a small collection in my front yard. After receiving the Tender-Loving-Care touch about a month ago, they start to bloom in abundance. The very hot weather these days could be another contributing factor.

The flowers do not last long. This should be the best way to get them documented for everyone to enjoy.

THE BOUGAINVILLEA SEASON IS BACK

The Bougainvillea plants in my front yard start to bloom simultaneously. One factor could be the extremely hot weather these days. The last time this happened was a long time ago, very long.

This was actually the result of the hard work after one month. The plants were earlier trimmed, the weeds in the flower pots removed, organic soil and fertilizer were added. Thanks to the assistant gardener for helping keep the plants in yard healthy again.

By next week, all the flowers will fall onto the ground. But the small and colourful petals have already been preserved here.

ATTENDING THE WEDDING RECEPTION OF A NEIGHBOUR

19TH JULY 2025    ~ A neighbour got married today and I was looking forward to attending it as the last one I went to was long ago [or was it last month?]

I was there with friends from my surau - the smaller scale of a mosque.

with the groom,
Mr. Khairul Anuar

the door gift

The food was great and I was impressed with its dessert spread on the buffet table. Lunch was considered taken outside today and I was happy to get to see people from my neighbourhood.
