DINNER SESSION AT YEO SEKELUARGA RESTAURANT BUT AT THE NEW SPOT

The mission of this week's gastronomic adventure was to eat seafood for dinner. The proposed eating place was Yeo Sekeluarga Restaurant in Tanjung Adang. For once, we wanted a different ambience - a restaurant "floating" on the water and the view of the river while enjoying the food. The biggest surprise of my life: the restaurant was no located on hard solid ground, by the main road.

I was told by the waiter they had to move as there was a project taking place at the old spot. These were the reports of the meals I had with my friends back in 2021 [CLICK HERE, HERE and HERE], in 2022 [CLICK HERE] and the most recent one was back in 2024 [CLICK HERE].

The food was good but I still I missed the old place. Sometimes people came to that place just because of its different surroundings. I bet this new place is less attractive compared to the old one. There is always a price to pay for development.

The photos are for educational, not for commercial purpose and the copyrights of the painters remained.

This post is to pay tribute to the creative and talented painters who had produced such an impressive work of art.

THE ART EXHIBITION AT THE CURVE, KUALA LUMPUR

I came across an art exhibition being held at The Curve Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur on 4th December 2025. I was actually staying at the Royale Chulan Hotel attached to the mall.

I learned some of the masterpieces were done by people with special needs, like the autistic and those with learning disabilities.

There were no signs which prohibited any photography so I was happy to capture the artistic products of the creative and talented people.

I was then approached by someone who was suspicious of my activity. I had then to explain I was in no way going to copy any of the design, and I took the photos for my blog. I was truly impressed with the artists' colourful art pieces.

The person actually ran art classes in the same building and could accept special needs children who wanted to take up painting. By admiring all the art displays, guess he himself was a maestro. I have a reason to be envious but I don't think I possess either the talent or the skills to paint.

NEXT: The paintings at the exhibition.
