7th JUNE 2015 ~ The next destination in South Korea was Jeju Island. If you are not sure where the island is located, please refer to the map above. It is quite far from Seoul. We booked a flight on Jeju Air and the journey took about an hour. Upon arrival, I was greeted by my ex-student cum tour guide, Miss Sakinah Omar, who is currently doing her Master degree there, at Jeju International Airport.
The exploration of the city started right after we had checked in at Yeha Guesthouse in the city centre. Jeju is definitely a more relaxed city, which is the total opposite of Seoul.
We stopped for lunch at Lotteria Restaurant, which was our first meal bought in South Korea and we had shrimp burgers and fries. With Miss Sakinah around, we could now enjoy all the halal food available and eat like Koreans do.
This is just the introduction to the beautiful Jeju Island. There will definitely more posts real soon. Please come back for more.
If you are looking for a (Muslim) guide for your next trip to Jeju Island, please feel free to contact Miss Sakinah at her FB Page JEJU MUSLIM TOUR.
