THE BELATED BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT K-FRY

My birthday was one month ago but it was only celebrated today. Never say "no" when it came to good food and good [gossip]friends.

The chosen venue was K-Fry restaurant in Holiday Villa.

A two-hour sit in session would not suffice so we shall meet again some other time soon, hopefully.

Thanks to all my friends for the birthday treat, and don't forget my belated birthday present. 😀

A LUNCH DATE WITH AN EX-STUDENT AT KFRY

When I met Mr. Muhammad Noor Adlan Azmi, an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti, [READ HERE] a plan was made to meet up for coffee initially.

However, the meeting took place at KFry in Holiday Villa for a late lunch.

We still had coffee after than but we had to adjourn to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at KSL Mall which was just across the road.

Thanks Mr. Adlan for the 2-hour company. I have taken notes of all the updates reported to me. Hope to see you again when you are back in Johor Bahru, or perhaps I will see you in Kuala Lumpur.

STARTING OFF THE SCHOOL HOLIDAY BY GOING KOREAN

Today was the first day of the 4-week school holiday and we celebrated the long break by going Korean for late lunch at KFry, Holiday Villa.

Lunch was better with company of friends. Hopefully we could do this more often this year despite the hectic and busy schedule.

GOING KOREAN ON A WEEKEND

I had to have Korean for my late lunch and at the same time, I had to give a colleague [of SMK Dato' Jaafar] who had been helping me a lot in completing the classroom makeover project a treat. So here we were at KFry Holiday Villa, eating the regular food I had ordered before from the menu.

It went well and I was happy that Mr. Shafiq had enjoyed the Korean dishes served as it was his first time here. I am expecting him to make a comeback with his family after this.

K-Fry-ING FOR DINNER AFTER ALL THE FIGHTING SESSION

 

8TH JULY 2022 ~ After all the endless fighting sessions in the movie "Mat Kilau", I felt so drained so it was time to head for dinner. We decided to go Korean again but this time for real food and the choice was K-Fry which was just at the building nearby the mall.

What a way to conclude the outing this weekend and we went home with happy tummies. Thanks Mr. Solihin Ramli [of Asrama Semai Bakti FELDA], for the company for dinner as well as the movie. Guess we will be seeing each other more frequently for our upcoming school holiday project.

GOING KOREAN FOR LUNCH

It had been a long time since I last went Korean so today I managed to get an ex-schoolmate [of SMS Muar], Mr. Mohd. Razib Nordin, to visit KFry for our late lunch.

We were lucky as we did not have to queue up to get into the eating place. The dining area was quite occupied actually and we saw some people were waiting for their turns when we went out at 4 p.m.

I was glad my friend loved the Korean food there, and we went home with happy tummies. We even packed the rice balls to bring home as we had too much already, or I had over ordered the food.

 

GOING KOREAN [AGAIN] FOR LUNCH AFTER SCHOOL

I was here at KFry with other friends at the same time last week - even the waitress remembered where I sat when she took my order. How could I say "no" when someone wanted to give a treat at a Korean restaurant.

The last time we met was when I wanted to buy a new handphone at Paradigm Mall but eating out was prohibited because of MCO at that time so we did not have time to socialize. 😀

Now that Mr. Haiqal Johari will be pursuing his studies but all the classes are conducted online, I guess there will be more gastronomic adventure sessions that could be carried out together. Thanks again Mr. Haiqal for the treat and we should start searching for the next eating out venue.

THE GOSSIP GIRLS WERE FINALLY REUNITED

The gossip girls, the complete members, were finally reunited after people were allowed to dine in at restaurants during the MCO period. We met after work at KFry for our late lunch and everyone was already very hungry that we didn't take photos of the food served on the table like we used to do. All the Korean dishes disappeared quickly as they were brought to us. One group member had gone back earlier before we could remember to snap a pic. This time, we obviously missed the Korean food more than each other's company. 😀

Let's pray things will get back to normal real soon so we could go and eat out more frequently [and grow fat together].

GOING KOREAN FOR LUNCH AFTER SCHOOL

6th SEPTEMBER 2020 ~ The members of the English Language Panel of SMK Dato' Jaafar had been planning for the eat out session after school and it was finally executed. This time we decided to go Korean for lunch and we chose KFry Urban Korean Restaurant located at Holiday Villa Hotel. It was a Sunday and the queue was already long outside when we arrived but luckily an early reservation had already been made so we got our tables immediately.

This was the ladies first time at KFry so I was given the honour of ordering the food for everybody.

I think I ordered the right Korean food as everyone loved the selections made.

It was time to get back home once we were done with our dessert. It was just a short get together after school but it was worth the time spent. We do not really get the opportunity to sit down for long in school to chat as we are always too occupied with academic related things. We definitely need to do this more often.

Thanks Puan Suhaida Ahmad Sulikin, Puan Zety Liyana Zainal Abidin, Puan Tan Yuan Yi and Puan Fadhleena Mohamad and we should decide for our the venue for our next panel meeting soon.

CELEBRATING THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL OF 2019 AND A 40-DAY BELATED BIRTHDAY

It was the last day of school of the year and we decided to go Korean. The complete members of the group with the slogan "Let's Grow Fat Together" gathered again at K-Fry Urban Korean Restaurant after school.

At the same time, there was a belated birthday celebration for one of the group members, 40 days late.

It was just an ordinary birthday celebration UNTIL the grand finale arrived. Thank god there were only a few customers left in the restaurant at that time. Looking back at the video, everybody had had a good laugh and it would be something to remember for a long time.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Mr. Mohd. Khir Makhbul, Puan Mazelina Mahmood, Puan Rashida Ali, Puan Rumaiah Asan and Puan Ida Amiza for the time, the food and the birthday celebration.

We actually still have the time to achieve the group's goal i.e. to get fatter before the school reopens next January.
