NARITA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - HI AND GOODBYE

One of the airports to get into or out of Tokyo is Narita International, and the other one is Haneda. After some time, all the airports would look just the same. I was already greeted with warmth and friendliness when I first arrived here. When I was asking for direction to the bus terminal, a non-English speaking lady called another staff at one of the airline counters to help me get to the place I had to go.

My 5-day journey to Japan ended here. Glad I had made it there and hopefully I could return one day.

BLOGGING FROM KLIA

MH089 safely landed at KLIA at about 4:30 p.m. It was a long journey. I checked out from the hotel in Hashimoto at 4:30 a.m. so I could get on the first train to Minami Osawa Station and catch the bus to Narita Airport at 5:50 a.m. The plane took off at 10:30 a.m. as scheduled.

After using the toilet where water was in abundance, I went to get my "teh tarik" at the airport food court. Too bad, "roti canai" was not available so that had to wait. I am now waiting for my next flight to bring me home to JB.

The holiday is almost over. There is a pile of exam papers to be marked and I just cannot wait to start work again, as if. *sigh*

BLOGGING FROM TOKYO, JAPAN

Today was a historical day when the plane landed at Narita Airport at abput 7:30 a.m. and I set foot on the land of the rising sun.

I then took the airport limousine and made my way to Minami-osawa Station to meet an ex-student, Miss Dyana Hasan, who is doing her PhD in Tokyo. After registering at the hotel (I could only check in at 4 p.m.), Dyana showed me around her campus and then went to a factory outlet before having our late lunch.

Lastly, Dyana took me to Shijunku and to make me familiarize a bit with the train system in the city. I will have to move on my own for the next two days.

So that was how I was introduced to Tokyo upon arrival and there will just about 3 more days to spend exploring. I am not expecting much as time is quite limited but this could be just the beginning.
