I AM NO FARMVILLE'S FARMER - EP. 3

my collection of Coleus plants

If you think that only flowers can provide colours to your house garden or compound, then you are wrong. Some leaves are able to do just the same. One of the plants that can contribute merrier environment is from the Coleus family. In Bahasa Melayu it is known as ati-ati plant.

The leaves come in variety of colours, shapes and sizes. You can have plants of the same colours but the shapes of the leaves might be different. And at times, you will be amazed that the leaves can change their colours once they become slightly matured.

These plants are easy to grow, you can start just by planting the cut stems - plus you must have those magic green fingers. They grow up well with enough sunlight and water but they cannot survive the intense heat - like what we are experiencing now and how I miss winter time in Sydney and Melbourne. The only way how you can get the varieties of these plants is just simply by visiting the nurseries everywhere - hidden somewhere there are plants that you think never exist

I AM NO FARMVILLE'S FARMER - EP. 2

Not actually a farmer - basically the things I do are buying plants, moving the (heavy) flower pots here and there, and watering the plants regularly. The other necessary work is done by my sister. But still, I do hard work than those so-called farmville's farmers who do the farming work by a click of a mouse. It is always a pleasure to see the multi-coloured bougainvillea blooming constantly and the flowers will last for quite some time. Not that difficult to tend to, just make sure they get enough sunshine and water, and perhaps a bit of fertilizer once in a while. The utmost important thing would be tender loving care. In the Malay language, the flower is literally called paper flower because the structure and the thickness is just like a piece of paper.

I will try to get more plants for my house. Plants are supposed to be good. More photosynthesis means more oxygen. Now, this sounds more like a biology class.

[NOTE: I was just experimenting with my Olympus FE-5010 digital camera and the pics turned out quite okay, and I spent more time editing, cutting and pasting, the original photos. Perhaps I should start taking up photography. Now everybody wants to be a photographer.]

I AM NO FARMVILLE'S FARMER - EP. 1

it looks small but it required a lot of sweat and toil

The last time I played ping pong was one year ago. While waiting for the right time and people to continue with my favourite pastime, I had to find another alternative to get some sweat out. Facebooking and playing games on your computer all day long are not good for your health. So I started hoeing a small plot of land behind my house and turned myself into a part-time farmer and part-time blogger. That was really a hard work done. It is definitely not the same with Farmville where you can simply plant everyting at the click of a mouse. If I continue on with this work, sooner or later I will very muscular like Conan the Barbarian.

trees successfully planted

So let's see whether the small scale project will bear any fruits. Pray hard that I can reap what I have sown and pray that no one else will reap the harvest for me.
