TWO WEDDING RECEPTIONS ON CHINESE NEW YEAR

It was another wedding of an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti, Mr. Muhammad Asyraf bin Khairul Anuar. The event was held at the Pulai Indah Community Hall.

The bride's two younger sisters were there too.

An ex-colleague of SMK Taman Universiti, Puan Yusidah Yusof, came a bit later.

And as usual, a number of ex-students were also present at the reception. A few of them I did not know as I had gone to other school when they were there.

The other wedding reception I attended was of the son of Mr. Mohamad Shah, a person whom I first knew as a mechanic but is now already a friend and still a mechanic to my car for 20 years.

The reception was done at Hassan Abdullah Hall at Kampung Pasir.

As Mr. Mohamad Shah's wife is a teacher, I met two teacher friends there too - one an ex-classmate of my primary school and the other one an ex-colleague of SMK Gelang Patah.

Two wedding receptions on Chinese New Year and I had already put on some weight. *sigh*

VISITING THE GIRLS AT SEKOLAH TUN FATIMAH

18th February 2017 ~ I was invited to Sekolah Tun Fatimah, a prestigious all girls' boarding school in Johor Bahru, to conduct a 2-hour workshop on how to go about answering the PT3 English language paper to form three students. This was my second time going there for the same reason 2 years ago (I think).

Everything went well. The girls were very attentive and responsive and the Q&A session was a lively one, with the students asking questions that sometimes were quite challenging to answer.

Thanks for inviting me and I hope I have shared enough to assist them later for the real exam in October.

VISITING THE GIRLS AT SEKOLAH TUN FATIMAH

I was invited to conduct a 2-hour workshop session for English Language in Sekolah Tun Fatimah (STF), one of the well-known all-girls boarding schools in the country. I was quite reluctant at first. Knowing the good reputation of the school, teachers and students might expect a lot from me. I had been invited a few times before by STF for similar workshop but had to reject for certain reasons, like it did not fit into my schedule at that particular moment. So this time, I had to give it a try and see whether the girls like me or not.

I guess everything was alright. All's well that ends well. :)
