KRABI AIRPORT: FINALLY LEAVING KRABI

Krabi Airport is just a small building if compared to our local Senai Airport. However, it is a modern facility that has welcomed and bade farewell to millions of tourists. There are only a few shops that I could see, or perhaps I did not walk around the place to see more. For first time traveler, from the airport, you could easily get your way around Krabi as there is a counter from where you could get information about the transportation that would suit your budget.

So this should be my very last post of my 4D3N stay in Ao Nang, Krabi and I survived another solo adventure. I will not hesitate to come back here again just for a short holiday without doing anything major except walking and relaxing on the beach and enjoying its local delicacies. There will be more related posts after this but they are just videos and "spot the error" entries. I should start preparing for the next trip by now. :)

OF FISH CAGES AND A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT

After the cave on the island on the river, I was taken to this seafood restaurant which had its own fish cages. Not much was done here. They were actually expecting me to eat lunch here but unfortunately the breakfast I had had earlier was too heavy and I did not plan to eat lunch in the first place. So after 20 minutes, we headed back to the jetty in Krabi town.

This was still a good trip as you would be able at least to see the fishing village of the local people. Perhaps, I should try the fresh fish at the restaurant next time.

KHAO KHANAP NAM CAVE OF KRABI

The boat stopped at a wooden jetty and I was then taken to this island cave and after googling, I found the name of the place is "Khao Khanap Nam Cave". There was no else so I had all the cave (and the island) to myself. There was a very big cave filled with stalactite and stalagmite. The prehistoric men were believed to live here as there was some archaeology work that had been done before. There was also this skeleton on the foot of the hill for people to view.

This should be an attraction that you should visit if you plan to to Krabi. It will be something like a geography or history lessons coming alive.

THE RIVER CRUISE IN KRABI

27th March 2014 ~ The river cruise was something not planned. However, I still had a lot of time in hand and the price of the cruise was reasonable/cheap, I was actually eager to go on the river cruise.

I was also taken to the cave on an island and then we went to the fishing village where there were fish cages. More stories coming up after this.
