FORMALLY BIDDING FAREWELL TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE LEFT AND WILL BE LEAVING SMKTUN

29th August 2015 ~ I was invited to a hi-tea gathering at Mutiara Hotel to formally bid farewell to a few people from SMK Taman Universiti. Two of my old friends, Puan Hajah Ruhanah Md. Som and Miss Chua Yit Hua, were sent by PPD to SMK Mutiara Rini 2 and SMK IJ Convent, respectively, against their will. At the same time, Puan Fabilah Baharum is promoted to serve as the PK Kokurikulum (Senior Assistant of the Co-curricular) at SMK St. Joseph while Miss Jenne Lee is going to further her studies in Liverpool real soon.

Even though we have been and will be physically far apart, I still feel as if I belong to the group. And I do not know how much longer is this going to last.

As for Miss Jenne, I will see you in Liverpool soon. :)

VISITING THE NEWLY-ARRIVED BUNDLE OF JOY

27th August 2015 ~ I was asked to tag along a group of friends to visit the newly-arrived baby boy to Puan Edally, the staff of SMK Taman Universiti. Knowing that there should be something special to eat there, of course I did not say "no".

Congratulations Puan Edally and the husband. May the new addition to the family bring you more laughter and joy.

PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY AT SEMAI BAKTI FELDA HOSTEL

21st August 2015 ~ This was an annual event held by Semai Bakti Felda Hostel to award the students who had excelled in their school and public examinations. The event was known as "Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang". The teachers who teach the tuition classes there were also invited to the ceremony.

As usual, there were speeches, students' performances, lucky draw session and the handing over of the prizes and certificates to the excellent students. The last section would definitely be the time for everyone to enjoy the food.

I was glad that the teachers were invited even though we might only contribute a small percentage to the students' excellence and success.

THE LAUNCHING OF "EAT MORE LOCAL FRUITS" CAMPAIGN FOR STATE LEVEL

18th AUGUST 2015 ~ A programme organized by FAMA (Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority) was held in SMK Medini. A few primary and secondary school were chosen to take part in "Eat More Local Fruits" Campaign by participating in competitions like Preparing Fruits Dessert, Designing T-Shirt, Explorace and Essay Writing.

I was there to represent the school's Principal for the closing ceremony and this one major event.

eat all you can

The last part of the event was everyone was given local fruits such as durian, "rambutan" and "pulasan" to be eaten FOR FREE. I guess everybody went home happily after that. I guess I had eaten too much durian and that would be a record-breaking moment for me.

Thanks FAMA for the programme and free fruits. I will try to eat more local fruits after this for sure.
