ATTENDING A WEDDING RECEPTION IN JITRA FOR THE SECOND TIME

   11TH JANUARY 2026    ~ I went back to Jitra, to attend a wedding reception of the daughter of a [UPM TESL Class of 1993] friend, Puan Fauziah Abdul Rahim. This was the second event of the family, the first one was in July 2023 [READ HERE].

The reception was held at Dewan Tunku Anum at Kompleks Pentadbiran Daerah Kubang Pasu.

As expected, there were some friends who came to attend from all over the Peninsular, mostly from Kuala Lumpur, and one from Kuantan. The nearest one was from Sungai Petani and Changlun.

Congratulations Puan Fauziah on the arrival of the second new member into the family. Thanks for inviting and having us in Jitra one more time.

After eating all the food and taking all the necessary photos, we had to bid the hosts goodbye. It was the first wedding reception for the TESL group this year, and there might be more to attend after this, and more mini reunions to take place.

 

ATTENDING A WEDDING RECEPTION IN JITRA, KEDAH

    15TH JULY 2023     ~ It was a last minute decision to fly North to Penang and then travel to Jitra, Kedah to attend a wedding reception of a UPM TESL friend's son. Thanks to Mr. Ridwan Wahid for giving me a lift from Penang to Jitra, to and fro.

The event was held at Kolej Height Utara Hall which we first thought was a private college at first, but it was not.

We were among the early birds so we got to meet the mother of the groom before more people started coming and she got extremely busy. I also managed to move around the wedding venue to take photos without many people observing.

The mini reunion with UPM TESL class of 1993 friends was one of the best things that happened here, no doubt.

Congratulations Dr. Fauziah Abd. Rahim on officially being a mother-in-law now. There are more similar events coming your way in the future and we hope to be invited again.

I guess I will be attending more wedding receptions of my UPM TESL friends' children after this.
