ATTENDING A CHILD SUPPORT TEAM COURSE IN CRYSTAL CROWN HOTEL

   14th - 16th APRIL 2025    ~ I attended a course organized by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat [Welfare Department] of Johor. The sessions were about Child Support Team [CST] which was actually similar to Pasukan Pelindung Kanak-kanak [Child Protection Team].

The 3D2N course was held at Crystal Crown Hotel, Johor Bahru. I got to have the chance to stay in hotel [for free] these days attending course and seminars after voluntarily working with the Department.

The course was interesting as it was filled with activities throughout, and not just talk sessions. Another thing, I got to mingle with people of different background, especially with those were grouped together with me.

By the end of the course, I got to understand that the members of the CST should act as the eyes and ears to make sure the safety and welfare of the children are well taken care of in the community.

A 3D2N COURSE IN MERSING FOR SENIOR ASSISTANTS

All the secondary school senior assistants of administration of Johor Bahru district were sent for a 3D2N course in Politeknik Mersing from 22nd to 24th October 2019. We went to the same place for a course last year. I wished I didn't have to attend this as there were tonnes of work left in school.

I managed to meet an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti, Mr. Farimie, who is working in Mersing in the afternoon on the first day there.

A 3-DAY PROFESSIONAL COURSE FOR JOHOR BAHRU'S SENIOR ASSISTANT TEACHERS

A 3-day course was held for the senior assistants of  Johor Bahru's secondary schools at Politeknik Mersing from the 29th to 31st October 2018. 43 participants took part in the sessions despite the fact that there is now so much work to be done in school at this time of the year.

Why me? WHY?

We should be considered lucky to be given the chance to stay away from school for 3 days. At the same, we have learned some new things that should assist us in carrying out our duties as the Senior Assistants in schools.

PRESENT AND REPRESENTING IN ANOTHER FORMAL EVENT

14th March 2015 ~ Once in a while, if I am lucky/unlucky, I would be asked to represent the Principal to a certain event. Today, I had to represent the Principal to the closing ceremony of a course for the form six students from 3 schools in Gelang Patah parliamentary area. There were the Secretary of the Johor State Minister and officers from the State and District Education Office. The course was held at Kolej Tun Razak, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Lucky enough the VIP could not stay for long as he had another event to attend so everything ended quite early.
