THE FLOATING CHALET ON LATOH RIVER IN KONG KONG

6th MARCH 2021 ~ The river cruise took us to the floating chalets and restaurant on the river and let us walk around the place to see what was the attractions there. I could see a few people fishing as soon as I got out of the boat.

For people who love fishing, this should a holiday haven for them as they could fish any time they like right in front of their chalets.

If you do not plan to stay the night here, you could just come here to eat at the restaurant.

There are different types of rooms with different rates to choose from.

I do hope that I could spend a night or two here. My greatest worry: to wake up in the morning, floating in the middle of the sea - and not on the river anymore. 😁

CRUISING ON SUNGAI LATOH IN KONG KONG

6th MARCH 2021 ~ After having lunch at the seafood restaurant, we decided to take the boat cruise on Sungai [river] Latoh. The counter selling the ticker was located at one one of the stalls nearby. The ride cost RM15 for an adult and RM6 for a child.

There was a group of ladies who took the same boat and I heard one of them saying "Muar" and "Bukit Gambir" so I guess they were from there.

The boat/ferry went in a circular route from one end of the river to the other. We were then sent to the floating chalet to have a closer look at the accommodation and the facilities and activities available.

All in all, it was an interesting experience and I was happy as I felt like a tourist again. I didn't expect Kong Kong could offer this kind of leisure activity to its visitors and could attract more people to come here, especially on weekends and public holidays.
