JINHAE'S CITY SQUARE FOUND

24TH MARCH 2019 ~ Since my mission to see sakura at Yeojwacheon Stream and Gyeonghwa Train Station had been accomplished, I decided to explore Jinhae town more. And I found this one place which was densely covered with sakura buds but was not listed in any of the travel blogs that I had read. I do not really know the exact name of this place so let's just call it the Jinhae City Square as it looked like one.

There were also a few naval themed sculptures at the square as there is a big navy base in Jinhae. People would get to see some kind of procession or parade by the navy during the sakura festival.

As you can see from the photos, the place was almost empty. Where had all the people gone to, I wonder.

I was actually trying to find Jinhae's Museum. I was trying to find the building based on the road signs when I stumbled upon this place. I would not give up and continued with my search for the museum right after.

GOING TO GYEONGHWA TRAIN STATION BUT NOT TO CATCH A TRAIN - PART 2

[CONTINUATION OF PART ONE]

24th MARCH 2019 ~ People came here just to either walk along beside or on the railway tracks and get themselves photographed with sakura as much as they could.

There was this train locomotive and coaches which had been converted into tourists' information centre. People, especially children, were seen climbing excitedly on the train, like it was a playground. How I wish the zombies in Busan really exist and eat all the hyperactive kids.

Too bad all the information was written in Korean so I just walked and observed whatever exhibits which did not require reading.

How a train station could attract thousands of people during sakura season. I wonder the authority had planned to plant the trees for the tourism sector, or was it just a coincidence?

If you want to see sakura in full bloom, do put Gyeonghwa Traoin Station in your itinerary list but make sure you check the date or else you will be disappointed.

GOING TO GYEONGHWA TRAIN STATION BUT NOT TO CATCH A TRAIN - PART 1

24th MARCH 2019 ~ After admiring the sakura at Yeojwacheon Stream and NFRDI Eco Park, I took a bus to get to Gyeonghwa Train Station. Nevertheless, I was there not to catch a train but to join the crowd the admire more sakura blooms which were about to reach the peak season in about three days.

This was the second train station I visited which had been turned into a major tourist's attraction. The recent one I went to was in Hua Hin back in December 2018 [READ HERE].

When I arrived there were already a lot of people walking on the railway tracks and beside the tracks and almost everywhere at the station - and with cameras and mobile phones in their hands. It was as if a fiesta was taking place at that time.

Just be ready to spend more time at the train station just to admire the beauty Mother Nature has to offer.
