THE BUFFET BREAKFAST AT SEBANA COVE RESORT

    2ND JUNE 2026    ~ I am always excited when it comes to having buffet breakfast at the hotel [or resort]. The room rented came together with the breakfast package or else we had to go out somewhere far to get our food in the morning.

At 7:00 a.m., we were the second guests to arrive. Someone else who was in his overall was the earliest bird that morning.

The food was actually the same food that you could get anywhere else for buffet breakfast session. Still, the curiosity to find out what was served on the counters and tables was just overwhelming.

The dining area was spacious. One could choose to sit in the main dining hall or be seated in the terrace area.

We of course chose the spot nearest to the river and the boats for a more scenic view. At the same time, we could experience having a staycation like the rich and famous, the scene that one could always watch on television.

I was happy with the breakfast. After eating all the food, we were so ready to explore the resort right after.

THE SECOND MEETING OF THE REUNION GATHERING COMMITTEE MEMBERS

  1st FEBRUARY 2026   ~ The second meeting for the upcoming Hi-Tea Reunion of SMK Taman Universiti was held at St. Giles Hotel, in Causeway Cafe to be exact. Six committee members who are the alumni of the school [of SPM 1999 batch] were present. The first meeting was held in November last year at Ramada Meridin Hotel [READ HERE].

This was actually my second time having lunch at St. Giles. I was here with a friend a few weeks before.

The meeting was special as there was an intermission which we could watch a magic show. The performer could change his masks in split seconds. You could see what he did in the videos below.

There was also a clown who came to our table and his task was to transform balloons into many other shapes and figures - for kids.

The discussion was done in a more informal manner, chatting and at the same time enjoying the buffet spread.

Someone was about to celebrate her birthday the next day so we had an earlier birthday party for her.

The meeting was a brief one but I focused more on eating rather than discussing the important matters regarding the gathering. That should be alright as the committee members would be keeping in touch [online] almost every day. In fact, discussions happened all the time in our Whatsapp group.

THE BUFFET LUNCH SESSION AT ISKANDAR PUTERI

For my gastronomic adventure this week, my friend and I went to this place called The Warung Kita located at Iskandar Puteri, the place where Legoland Malaysia could be found.

We wanted to try its specialty lunch set - buffet style. The price was RM29.50 per pax, which I would consider as reasonable as we could get free flow of almost everything in the list.

We were advised by the waiter to order more food as it would come in small portions. To our surprise, the food arrived at our table in huge plates.

We tried our best to finish everything we ordered, and we left the restaurant getting overweight. I would love to bring my other friends here when they ask me out for lunch.

As usual, we concluded our outing trip this time with coffee at Coffee Beans & Tea Leaf at Eco Setia Garden.

Thanks to Mr. Redzuan for the time. We will have to think of a place for our next gastronomic adventure next week, but we could also revisit the same place that we like.
