A POSTCARD FROM POLAND ARRIVED TODAY

A postcard cum Eid greeting card arrived today, all the way from Poland. The card had traveled thousand of kilometres before reaching. All the effort and time spent to send a card from the other side of the world is very much appreciated. I guess I must be the lucky one to be chosen to get a postcard.

Thanks a lot Miss Jenne Lee and the husband for the kind thought. The card not only made my day, but it will also be cherished and remembered for a long time.

*NOTE: Miss Jenne is an ex-colleague of SMK Taman Universiti. She then went to pursue her PhD in Liverpool UK and is about to graduate.

When was the last time you got a postcard from someone?

This postcard, all the way from Perth, was in my mailbox when I came back from school on 12th March 2018. A dear friend of UPM TESL class of 1993 was there, sending off her daughter for her tertiary education there. She had taken the effort to send this to me. It might look something small (and might be not that expensive) but it had made my day. 

Thanks a lot Puan Janariah Othman for the kind thought. Hopefully you will take care of the koala before you could hand it over to me when we meet later. :)

A POSTCARD FROM EDINBURGH ARRIVED TODAY

Out of the blue, a postcard from Edinburgh was dropped into my (real) mailbox at home. It was from a friend cum ex-colleague who is currently pursuing her PhD in the UK.

That is really kind of you Miss Jenne Lee, and I am really, truly touched . Thanks a zillion and your thought is very much appreciated. *tears of joy*

THE POSTCARD FROM TAIPEI

There was a postcard from Taipei that arrived today. Unluckily it was not from any of the Taiwanese girls from the island. When I visited Katagalan Culture Centre in Beitou, I was asked to write a postcard which was then put on a board for people to read. According to the lady who was on duty, the museum staff would then post the card to me. True to her words, the postcard reached after almost 4 months and that was one sweet thing the did, I guess as a token of appreciation for the visit. The gesture might look very small but upon receiving the postcard, I was already thinking of going back to Taiwan again one of these days.

A POSTCARD FROM CHINA

Once in a blue moon, you get a pleasant surprise in your life. Mine was just a very simple one: a real postcard posted from China. Unfortunately, the sender forgot to write his/her name so the person sending remained a mystery up until now.  

To the sender of this postcard, (I suspect the person is a "she" based on the handwriting) your postcard has reached and thanks a lot.
