SEEING HUA HIN FROM ATOP OF KHAO HIN LEK FAI

19th DECEMBER 2018 ~ Another place visited by tourists in Hua Hin is Khao Hin Lek Fai. It is a hill that allows people to have an aerial view of Hua Hin city and its surroundings.

You could trek up the hill but that would be something I would not do so I took a Gran taxi which brought me right into the entrance.

There were a few viewing points around the hill and might require some easy trekking to get there.

It was actually hazy so the view was not that clear on that day.

At one of the viewing spots, one would have to climb up a big slab of rock which was quite steep.

There was even a fallen tree lying across the path so I had to climb it over to get to the other side. That should be adventurous enough for me.

There were not many people at the hill and most of the time, I was the only tourist. Then, it happened. A huge group of monkeys came running out of nowhere as if they were migrating. They did not look friendly at all and I was there all by myself. I just prayed they would even come near me. At one time, there was a group of tourists who just arrived and I saw a monkey snatched away a water tumbler from one of the ladies.

They really remind me of the movie "March of the Penguins" but a scary one.

If you have nothing else to do in Hua Hin, you could come here and enjoy the fresh unpolluted air for once. And the short trekking should be good for your health too.

CHAT CHAI MARKET IN THE CITY CENTRE - PART TWO

19th DECEMBER 2018 ~ I always find the market an amusing place to visit. Most of the time, I wish I could do my shopping there and bring back the fish, seafood, vegetables and fruits home - which would be something impossible.

there was no boundary for business

While people were busy buying and selling, I on the other hand, was busy snapping away photos with my camera. Those people just looked and I did not mind at all. Some were even friendly - they smiled and tried to strike a conversation despite the language barrier. One lady thought I was a Pinoy and I took that as a compliment anyway.
