THANKS to Mr. Muhd. Fahmi Nurji for compiling the photos that were taken during the baking sessions for the Set A1 (Form 1) English class. You deserve a pat (or a lot of pats) on your back. Now I know who to turn to to get this job done in the future. :)

'TIS THE SEASON TO DO BAKING - PART TWO

7th October ~ the second group consisting of 4 girls and 14 boys came at 10:00 to bake more cupcakes. The boys looked excited nonetheless. With the guidance given by Puan Suzana and their determination to learn new things, the session was a great success.

Thanks again to Puan Suzana Sidek for her time and energy in conducting the baking session again. This has been our fourth year and she had never said "no" to my request. Hopefully we can bake again next year.

As for the Set A1 students, please do not forget to hand in your essay when we meet in our next English class.

'TIS THE SEASON TO DO BAKING - PART ONE

7th October ~ The baking session was back for the form one students in the set I am teaching. Everyone was very excited to do something real, rather than looking at illustration on paper before they were asked to write essays on process and procedures. Thanks to Puan Suzana Sidek, the Home Science teacher who has been helping me for many years to carry out this lesson.

This year we did some changes to the cupcakes, it used to be vanilla cupcakes with raisins but this year we were making chocolate cupcakes topped with chocolate ganache. 19 girls attended the first slot from 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. while the other half of the class would have to attend the second slot.

Everything went well. They managed to finish the activities on time so that the second group could use the place as planned.
