By the time you read this, I will be already away from home, embarking on a journey to another corner of the world, finally. I just need to get away from all this madness once in a while.
The blog will not be operating for six days,or seven,
most probably and I don't think I can get access to the internet there
(especially when I don't have the necessary gadgets). And please do not call or sms me because I don't respond to both.
Please pray for my safe journey and hope I will be able to tell stories of my experience there. And happy holidays everybody, enjoy yourself while you still can.
Once we have changed the word CHEAP to CHEAPEST, we do not have to add the word MOST anymore. It is also wrong to say MORE CHEAPER, as the same rule applies here.
This is a common error frequently made by Malaysians when it comes to the usage of comparative and superlative adjectives. This happens most probably from the direct translation of Malay language for phrases like "LEBIH MURAH" and "PALING MURAH".
Lastly, the final episode of the books-turned-into-movies was here. The male vampire who married a human then turned into a female vampire had a baby now named Renesme. However, the baby was half human, half vampire so she was not immortal.
Nevertheless, this one nosy vampire by the name of Irina reported to the vampires of superior ranks - the most powerful one should be Volutri. Being afraid of the power possessed by the immortal baby, they decided to kill Renesme.
In order to stop the evil deed from the evil vampires, the good vampires had to find witness from all over the world to convince Volutri that Renesme would not pose a danger to the vampire community. Volutri nevertheless would not stop his plan of killing the precious child, hence the most brutal war between the vampires started, and you could see vampires (and werewolves) with all the supernatural powers that they had, pulling each other heads and bodies apart.
Many died in the fight and the audience must have thought that it would be a messy and bloody ending to the Twilight saga, it was actually an image flashed by Alice into Volutri's head as a warning what would happen if he went on with his plan. (Alice had to power to see what was going to happen in the future).
All in all, it was a happy ending and everybody went out of the cinema feeling happy and contented after watching the most violent fighting scene on screen.
It was a great movie and I feel like going to watch it one more time. And I have to get the other three books too. I have only read the first one.
the appearance of two extra vampires
And it has a very beautiful theme song too by Christina Perry. I wonder the song was written specifically for the movie, or is it a coincidence.
Finally, I got to meet our favourite spy of all time, Bond, James Bond (played by Danial Craig). As usual, there were the running, chasing, shooting, bomb exploding, and killing but there were no more magic gadgets this time, to my despair. Aren't we all flocking the cinema to see a few of those?
In the end, the good guy must win and Bond is here to serve the British government again, real soon.
I was a good watch I must say. How many more years do we have to wait for Bond to make another appearance on the silver screen?
1st NOVEMBER 2012 ~ This was my short visit to KL Tower, the FIFTH tallest telecommunication tower of the world. (Initially I thought it was ranked fourth). If you want to know how much does it cost to go there, for a Malaysian adult who can show his/her ID, it will cost you RM29 for the viewing deck package.
the entrance
the ticket counter
the lift
the viewing deck
Surprisingly (at that time) there was no need to insert any coins for people to use the viewing gadget (is that called a telescope?). And how good was it? You could see people walking at the entrance of SOGO shopping complex very clearly.

the night view of the tower
Next posting: the spectacular view of Kuala Lumpur city from the KL Tower.
It was just a very short visit, I was happy nonetheless. I was telling myself when I went up the CN Tower (read HERE) in Toronto last June that I had to visit that similar structure in my own beloved country so my dream came true in a way. And I am proud to be a Malaysian.
Puan Hajah Ramlah Rahmat, the ex-Principal of SMK Taman Universiti, held the reception for her second daughter's wedding today. It was not on a weekend, like what it is usually usually done by others. Today was a public holiday - Deepavali. It was better as people did not have to attend three invitations on the same day.

Miss and Mrs. Lee
ex-senior assistants and ex-staff
two ex-principals
one ex-student, another one still my student - siblings
I met many familiar faces, from colleagues, staff and students, to ex-Principals, ex-Senior Assistants, ex-colleagues, ex-staff and ex-students. It was just like a mini reunion.
Sooner or later, I think I will become a wedding photographer.
