ENCORE MELAKA REVISITED

    20TH JULY 2026    ~ The main agenda of the Melaka trip this time was to watch and introduce the theatre "Encore Melaka". This was my second time at the theatre, the first time was back in 2018 [READ HERE]. I wanted to introduce the show my friend, Mr. Redzuan, who seemed to be keen in watching.

The hall was about 50% full on Monday evening. One side of the seats was filled with busload of school children.

The show that I watched was almost the same with the one presented 8 years ago. However, the old one was longer and more elaborate. The new one was simplified and there were scenes that was cut off, I think.

It was customary to take photos around the iconic theatre building on the reclaimed land. We even managed to catch the sunset before going home. I did the same when I was there the first time [READ HERE].

You can buy the tickets online and it cost RM78 for Malaysian citizen. I bought from Agoda and got RM10 cheaper. You must watch Encore at least once. By the way, there was another show with a different theme in the afternoon which would be something new.

One thing worth mentioning, I found the seat was very uncomfortable. It was hard and the leg space was too small especially for a long-legged person like me. I wonder if the management could do something about it.

EXPLORING PENYABONG ONE SUNDAY EVENING - PART TWO

[CONTINUATION OF PART ONE]

    28th JUNE 2026    ~ From the jetty, we then walked towards the park to get to the cape area. The main agenda: to observe sunset and take as many photos as possible.

I was not that sure how was it possible to see the sunset as we were actually located on the east coast. By logic, it should sunrise to be observed, and not the other way around. I guess I need to study the map real close so that I could understand better.

This should be the place for skilled photographers as well as skilled photo editors to capture the scenic panorama of the sun against the sea and the sky.

We had to leave once the sun hid behind the clouds and the place started to turn dark. We unexpectedly had spent more time at this spot and we were glad we did that.

EXPLORING PENYABONG ONE SUNDAY EVENING - PART ONE

   28TH JUNE 2026    ~ I was back at Penyabong one Sunday evening, just to enjoy the view of the sea. The last time I came here was 4 years ago, and I was with my colleagues at that time [READ HERE].

We first went for a walk on the jetty. It was already late so there were not many people around.

Looking out at the ocean, as far as the eyes could see, was a therapeutic activity for me.

Some people came here and parked their cars, and then took the boats for the fishing trips.

 

We then decided to go to another part of Penyabong which I had never had the chance to explore before.
