A SMALL GIFT FROM THE HEART

Sometimes, even though there is no special occasion like birthday or Teacher's Day, I will be surprised to get a present from students. And today a student presented me with a small gift. It came from Denise Lee, a form five student. I guess it is some sort of a parting gift before she sits for her SPM examination and leaves school after that.

Well Denise Lee, thanks for the present. I wish you the very best of luck for your coming exam as well as in your future undertakings. I will sure miss your sweet smile every time I see you in school. You are one of the friendliest and most corteous students I have ever met. And I am sure I will not forget you even after you have left school.

HAVING A DEEPAVALI POTLUCK IN THE STAFFROOM

A pot luck was held in the staffroom in conjunction with the recent celebration of Deepavali. Therefore we had Indian delicacies this time like putu mayam, idli, muruku and vadeh. Thanks a lot to Mr. Narasimman for ordering all the delicious food for us.

Mr. Ong was also here to celebrate with us.

I was happy because my girlfriend came today.

Believe it or not, I see this almost everyday but only recently I realized that there was error in it.

I am going to this one place tomorrow because someone told me today there is a poster with a glaring error in it. I am confirmed a grammar policeman now, equipped with informer to feed me with information.
