Other than souvenirs, another option a traveller has besides buying souvenirs would be bringing back home traditional/locally made food products from the country visited. I was glad the tour guide took me here as there were a variety of food items to choose from. The staff could pack your purchase in a box especially when you buy a lot so that bringing it will not hassle-free.

MY LOMBOK GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE - PART 2

16th March 2014 ~ After all the walking on the beaches and climbing the hills, it was time to quench our thirst. We were taken to an EXCLUSIVE restaurant called Ashtari located on a hill, to rest a bit while looking out to the distant sea. We just had some cold drinks before continuing with our trip of the day. 

The place might be quite expensive to have meals but it would be a nice place just to hang out and chat.

If you are looking for souvenirs to take home for the loved ones, especially t-shirts, Lombok Exotic is the place to go. They have high quality products at reasonable prices and also a large variety of items to choose from.

I should have bought that colourful "kopiah" (a headgear worn by Muslim men). I guess I have to go back to the island to get just that, one day.

SEGER BEACH OF LOMBOK ISLAND

17th March 2015 ~ Lombok is an island surrounded by beautiful beaches which seem to link to each other. The third beach and ocean viewing session required us to climb a higher and more challenging hill compared to the previous one at Tanjung Aan. It was all worth the effort as a spectacular view of the ocean meeting the sky was awaiting. Looking out as far as the eyes could see, this was the place if you really want to get away from all the stress and problems in life. How I wish the holiday would never end.

Seger Beach is another recommended spot for you to go, either for a picnic or swimming session in the sea, or when you just need the time to slowly fly while you are immersed in the beauty of nature.

VISITING THE STUDENTS OF SMK MOHD. KHALID, JOHOR BAHRU

6th April 2015 ~ I was invited to conduct a 2-hour workshop for PT3 students at SMK Mohd. Khalid, Johor Bahru. I went there after school ended and I was actually there just to convince these kids getting better grades for their English paper would not be something impossible.

  

The greatest achievement: no one seemed to fall asleep during the workshop. :)
