ATTENDING PUAN NURMEY'S DAUGHTER'S WEDDING RECEPTION

I was invited by Puan Nurmey Jantan to her daughter's wedding reception held Dewan Azalea in town. Puan Nurmey was once a temporary teacher at SMK Taman Universiti a long time ago. She is now a staff at SMK Dato' Usman Awang.

There were also another ex-colleague of SMKTUN, Puan Rokiah Junoh and her two children. Her son, Mohd. Amirul Adha also happened to be my ex-student.

THE BRAND NEW KAMPUNG MELAYU MARKET IS NOW OPENED

After more than 3 1/2 years, the new Kampung Melayu Market is now opened to public. [Have a look at the old market back in May 1994 HERE].

The market is really huge. It looks modern and most importantly, clean.

The huge space inside is divided into a few sections such as the shop lots, food court and wet market. There are still many stalls which are not operating yet.

I just hope the shops and stalls operators, as well as the visitors, will maintain the good condition of the building.

HOTEL REVIEW - QUALITY PLAZA HOTEL, MAKASSAR

Some reasons I would stay at Quality Plaza Hotel, Makassar, if I were to make a return trip:

(1) Good location, at the city centre and very near to Losari Beach and other attractions.

(2) The price was reasonable and affordable.

(3) Near to eating places.

(4) room was spacious and clean.

(5) breakfast was amazing - you could get the local delicacies there in the morning.

(6) Lastly, the staff were all friendly, and sweet too.
