HOUSEWARMING PARTY CUM UPM TESL CLASS OF 1993 GATHERING - PART 2

 5TH NOVEMBER 2022  ~ With more people arriving, instead of having less food on the buffet tables, there was more being served. Honestly speaking, I didn't even know what to eat anymore and there was food that I did not have the chance to taste as there was no more space in my tummy.

The air was filled with the voices of people talking and laughing, and every corner of the room was occupied by these people with plates of food and drinks in their hands.

There are a lot of photos taken during the gathering and now I think I would have to post the report in three parts.

HOUSEWARMING PARTY CUM UPM TESL CLASS OF 1993 GATHERING - PART 1

 5TH NOVEMBER 2022  ~ The housewarming party cum the gathering of UPM TESL Class of 1993 was actually planned 2 weeks before. The venue chosen was the new house of Puan Adila Ahmad in Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Buloh. The news was spread in the TESL  Whatsapp group and people started discussing non-stop mostly on what food to bring for the pot luck gathering.

At the same time, the host had already prepared special food for the guests and I just could not believe seeing all kinds of delicious food served on the buffet tables that could feed the whole village.

I was lucky enough to be chauffeured and chaperoned by the two ladies from Bangi to Sungai Buloh. 

A few people had already arrived when I reached Puan Adila's place. According to the list of people attending, there should be about 20 guests coming this time. The thrilling part of the party would be to be able to see your old friends, and this time there were people who came as far as Pulau Pinang and Jitra from the north and Kuantan from the east of Peninsular.  I should be the representative of the southern part of the country.

As some people might be arriving a bit later, we had to start the ball rolling and there should be more than enough food for everyone in the house. So the eating and chatting session began and the house was filled with loud noises of people talking and laughing.

More and more people arrived after that with more food and it was not easy to find a space on the buffet tables.

A SUPPER SESSION WITH A SENIOR OF UPM EX-FOURTH COLLEGIAN

4TH SEPTEMBER 2022 ~ Other than my friends of the TESL course, I don't really keep in touch with people from UPM [Universiti Pertanian Malaysia]. One of the seniors whom I would try to be in contact withh would be Mr. Hashim Hassan. The last time we met would be like (more than) 10 years ago. I tried to get him to come and see me when I was in Bangi and he happily obliged.

Thanks Mr. Hashim Hassan for the short supper session. It was great to be reunited and get ourselves updated for the lost time and hope to see you again some other time in the future.
