HAVING SUPPER AT BRAGA STREET IN BANDUNG

   22ND FEBRUARY 2025    ~ After exploring the long stretch of Braga Street, it was time to have a short stop for supper in one of the cafes there. The shop was called: Myloc Coffee & Cafe.

It was already 10:00 p.m. at that time but there were still many people in the area.

Instead of coffee, I opted for hot chocolate for the fear of not being able to fall asleep later. What I got was a cup of hot Milo. 😀

That should conclude the long day we had had. We had another one more day to see what Bandung had to offer.

WALKING THE STREET OF BRAGA ONE SATURDAY NIGHT

   22ND FEBRUARY 2025    ~ After checking in at the hotel and resting for 2 hours, we went out to the most happening spot in Bandung on Saturday night: Braga Street.

The road was closed to traffic and became a pedestrian street. You could find attractions along the way like restaurants and shops. There were also many freelance photographers who would take your photos [and perhaps edited and printed them] but I am not sure for how much.

There were also many street musicians on the left and right side of the street.

If you like art and paintings, you could either see the paintings on display, or buy them to take home.

If you want to see how people spend their night on Saturday in Bandung, then Braga Street is where it all happens.

THE GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE AT A SUNDA RESTAURANT IN BANDUNG

   22nd FEBRUARY 2025    ~ Our first gastronomic adventure happened at a Sunda Restaurant called: Warung Nasi Khas Sunda Laksana [TRANSLATE: Laksana Special Sunda Rice Restaurant].

This place served original Sunda dishes which I could take, with variety of Sambal, i.e. spicy sauce made with chillies.

The restaurant was not popular among tourists I guess. We could see only locals dining in for dinner when we were there.

Unfortunately, I think I had taken too much hot and spicy food from the restaurant. Only the next morning when I woke up, my tonsils got swollen and slightly painful. I bought some medication from the pharmacy and it got better thankfully. I thought I was alright with the food but that was one gastronomic adventure went wrong.

GIVING AWAY DATES TO FRIENDS IN SCHOOL IN THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN

I went to SMK Dato' Jaafar this afternoon, just to give away dates to friends for this month of Ramadhan. I got to meet a few people at the office and asked for their help to pass the boxes to the others.

I got my Eid cookies early too from a friend.

It is customary for Muslims to break their fast with dates. And in Islam, feeding someone who is breaking their fast is considered a good deed that can bring many rewards, including forgiveness of sins and protection from hellfire.

“Whoever helps to break the fast of a fasting person (giving food), he will have the same reward as him without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person.” (Tirmidhi)
