DOI PUI TRIBAL VILLAGE (OR TRIBAL MARKET)

19th December 2016 ~ On the third day, I took another guided tour in Chiang Mai. It was a trip to one of the famous temples but before that we were taken to this hill tribe village. I thought we were about to see more people of the hill tribe, i.e. the Hmong, but we saw more stalls selling all kinds of touristy things instead. And many of the items sold could also be found in the night market in the city.

By the way, the place was called Doi Pui Tribal Village - the place where the people of the Hmong tribe were too busy luring tourists with their merchandise (and not all the traders were Hmong people).
