TWO WEDDING RECEPTIONS AND ONE AQIQAH CEREMONY IN ONE AFTERNOON

5th December 2015 ~ There were three events that I attended today. I definitely have to do something with my weight issue. :) Here is the report in brief:

WEDDING 1

An ex-student of SMKTUN from SPM batch 2004, Mr. Iberahim Abd. Mobin, had his wedding reception today at his parents' home in Taman Universiti. With all his siblings attending SMKTUN as early as 1994 until now, the parents are no longer strangers to me. As usual, got to meet the bridegroom's siblings as well as other ex-students there.

WEDDING 2

Puan Tini Zainuddin, a friend from SMKTUN, held a wedding reception at Pusat Latihan UTM, for her daughter. I did not meet other friends there, most probably because it was already late. 

AQIQAH CEREMONY

The last house visited was at Taman Sri Pulai where an "Aqiqah" event was held. The ceremony was already over when I arrived so as usual, I was there to enjoy the food. The event was held by Mr. Amin Ahmad, an ex-student of SMKTUN from SPM batch 2006, to welcome the newly-delivered bundle of joy.

The family members were also people whom I have known for quite some time, so I always felt welcomed there.

School holiday is always filled with feasts and gatherings, and I am not complaining. 

I need to play ping pong after this, desperately.

VISITING MR. ABD. WAHID AT THE HOSPITAL

4th December 2015 ~ I received news Mr. Abd. Wahid is hospitalized after being involved in an accident the day before. He is the husband of an old friend/colleague, Pn. Norizah Ahmad, and I decided to pay him a visit at Kempas Specialist Hospital.

He had undergone an operation for his injured right foot and would now have to get a lot of rest. We will pray for his speedy recovery.

IT'S TIME TO GET SPORTY AGAIN

3rd December 2015 ~ I could not even remember when was the last time I came to this Sports Complex in UTM to play ping pong. Fortunately, some people were free to play in the afternoon and I definitely needed some kind of exercise with the hope to lose a little weight.

After 2 hours, I really felt that I was thinner so we went to get something to eat right after that.

MOVIE REVIEW - 'THE GOOD DINOSAUR"

Once upon a time, there were good dinosaurs and bad dinosaurs. Obviously, everyone loves the good dinosaurs.

It is a simple story of friendship between Arlo, the good dinosaur, and Spot, a young human being, who are both lost in the jungle. They have to depend on each other to survive but in the end, have to separate ways as they need to be reunited with their own family members.

Beautiful story and excellent animation, plus melodious original soundtrack. The story line is very simple which is good as I do not have to take the trouble to do more thinking. This is definitely the movie you should go and watch during this school holiday.

VISITING A BOOK FAIR AT DANGA CITY MALL

After attending an official briefing at the District Education Office, I decided to drop by at a book fair held at Danga City Mall which was just nearby.  It was a fair done by Popular Bookstore.

I had a good walk in the hall. And I did not buy any books at all. 

I still have a mountain of books at home, bought last year and two years ago, still remained to be picked and read.
