BIDDING FAREWELL TO THE RETIRING CHIEF CLERK

A small scale event was organized in school today to bid farewell to our retiring Chief Clerk, Mr. Ismail Sandir. I missed the usual speeches as I had to go somewhere before that (which should be a blessing in disguise). The prize-giving ceremony was in progress and not long after that everybody was allowed to have lunch. So we have now one vacant place to be filled in the office and that would take quite some time.

Up to this date, we already have had three people retiring in school and I observed them leaving with jealousy in my heart. My time is still a looonnggg way to go.

And the giving-away the RM100 session continued today and this time it was the from 2 students' turn. Parents and their children came in a steady flow and based on the report, the percentage of attendance was higher if compared to yesterday's.







With three more days to go, we hope that the rest will come as instructed to get the money so that we teachers could get our normal lives back.

I was the lucky one today. Someone just came back from South Korea and brought me a souvenir. Thank a lot Dr. Fua'ad, a students' father, for the lovely key chain - really, it is the thought that counts.

GIVING AWAY RM100 TO THE STUDENTS [DAY 1]

Truth is stranger than fiction! And that was what happened in school today. For the first time we were distributing RM100 to each and everyone in school (with Malaysian nationality). The money came from the government for a reason many people are predicting about, but I myself am making a prediction here.

Due to the very short notice, and the large number of students population who are no longer in school as the SPM examination is in progress now, it is not easy to spread the words around. Form teachers were asked to contact the students using the school's or their own telephones. The best I could do was to publish the announcement in my blog and to link it to my Facebook account.

And according to Tuan Haji Mohd. Sabri, one of the teachers in-charge, the attendance of parents and their children who are in form 1 is 84%. It was not surprising though, they came to take and not to give. Nevertheless, I hope my blog and Facebook have contributed to the success of the session today and let's see what will happen for the next four days.

1KP1 CLASS PARTY

As the school holidays were approaching, 1KP1 students were having a class party on Thursday, 7th November 2011 at the school canteen. All the teachers teaching the class were invited to attend the party. As usual, there was a lot of food on the table. It was a matter whether you could eat it all or not.



















Too bad, I had missed the games and the cake as I had to get myself involved in a discussion at the office. But I must say I had enjoyed myself a lot. Thanks to the students of 1KP1 for inviting.
