BONSAI EXHIBITION AT INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

That should be some kind of bonsai exhibition even though some of the plants did not look like bonsai to me. Looking at the effort and time taken to come up with these pieces of art, the artists must have a high level of patience. Not only that, these plants need a lot of tender loving care all year round or else they would surely wither and die. 

I don't think I could be a good bonsai owner. I just prefer the plants that are more independent - the ones that could survive the hot sun with very minimal care.

There is another section of exhibition at Incheon International Airport. It is a brilliant idea to have this kind of thing at the airport as it should benefit travelers who have a lot of time to kill while waiting for their flights.

THE LAST MEETING WITH THE FORM 3 CLASS AT ASRAMA SEMAI BAKTI FELDA

15TH NOVEMBER 2015 ~ This was the last get-together with my form 3 English class at Asrama Semai Bakti Felda. I was with them for 10 months and now that the PT3 was over, that was the end of my coaching sessions.

Wishing them the very best of luck, no matter where they will be after this. It has been a pleasant experience to teach another batch of form 3 students at the hostel. May we see each other again (outside the classroom) next year.

ANOTHER FAREWELL GATHERING FOR MR. SHAHBUDIN YUSOF

17th November 2015 ~ A mini farewell gathering was called at one of the stalls located at Taman Universiti. Friends from SMK Taman Universiti were there at about 9:00 p.m. Encik Shahbudin Yusof, the ex-principal of SMK Kangkar Pulai, who was also in SMK Taman Universiti before as the Head of Department, was invited as the guest of honour so as to wish him a happy retirement. [NOTE: Mr. Shahbudin was also my teacher when I was in SMS Muar a long time ago.] We had a short "tahlil" and prayer before eating.

I wonder when I retire later, people will do this kind of gathering for me. Or perhaps, by that time, we will all be scattered all over Malaysia already. *sigh* Anyway, I am always looking forward to good food and good company of friends. I will never say never.

PERFORMING FOR OGFEST 2015 DINNER

16th November 2015 ~ SMKTUN angklung group was invited to perform during the Oil & Gas Festival [a.k.a OGFEST 2015] Dinner which was held at Sangkar Kristal, Johor Bahru. We played three songs on angklung and were really glad to be invited to another UTM's function. 

I  met an ex-student of SMKTUN, Miss Tharisshiny, from SPM batch 2010. She was there with her friend who performed an Indian semi-classical dance.

There were not too many photos taken. I could not find anyone to help. I am hoping one of the committee members will be sending me the photos from the official cameraman later.

I wonder whether this will be our last performance of the year since the end of year school holiday will already start on Friday.
