The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was once asked, " What is the best sedekah? [giving] and he answered, "To give sedekah in the month of Ramadhan. (quoted by Tirmidzi)
There was a donation campaign for the people of Palestine by Yayasan Salam. I know that my students are mostly kind-hearted people. With a bit of motivation and persuasion, many would not hesitate to come forward to do charity. Regardless of race and religion, I handed over RM893.50 to the Senior Assistant of Students Affair from the students and teachers of the afternoon session (and a few morning teachers) [The collection was done separately] There was still a small amount of money that was given by the 2KAA1 students as I just only had the chance to visit their class this evening.
