STOPPING BY AT MASJID JAMEK BANDAR PONTIAN

27th JUNE 2022 ~ I managed to stop by at Masjid Jamek Bandar Pontian [Pontian Mosque] after the course on the first day. The mosque was actually within a walking distance from the District Education Office.

This should be one of the mosques in the state which still preserves the traditional archictechture. Unfortunately, I could not find much information about the mosque on the Internet.

I was thinking of stopping by on the second day of the course in Pontian but then the session ended late and I had to rush back home to avoid the traffic jam and the predicted rain.

ARRIVING IN PONTIAN EARLY IN THE MORNING - DAY 2

28TH JUNE 2022 ~ As planned, I arrived at Pontian much earlier than the day before as I had another half of the seafront to explore. The place was already filled with health conscious people who were up and about early in the morning to carry out their morning routines.

There were definitely more things to see here. This should make Instagrammers, or Tiktokers, shriek with joy.

To my delight, I found a group of people, mostly ladies, wearing pink were doing their morning calesthenics dance, or was it taichi? I stopped for a while to record them performing and they didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, they looked excited to be watched and recorded.

I had spent my morning well before being cooped up in the seminar room until 3:00 p.m.

I hope to be back in Pontian some other time and see what the town has to offer.

ARRIVING IN PONTIAN EARLY IN THE MORNING - PART 1

27th JUNE 2022 ~ I arrived early in Pontian town for the course and by that time, the Education Office would not be opened yet. I just diverted my car to the seafront side of the town to see what was there.

I was not the only one there. A few people had already arrived much earlier, carrying out activities like walking, jogging and exercising.

The place had undergone a lot of upgrading work and it looked more beautiful now than the last time I was there. The place was quite big actually and I was standing at one part of the area and decided to explore to the other side the very next day.
