SPOT THE ERROR 70

Posting this while waiting for something on my car to be fixed in Taman Universiti. The banner was seen right in front of the car accessory shop and I was moved to put it in my blog.

VISITING THE NATIONAL MUSEUM IN BANGKOK - PART 1

18th OCTOBER 2014 ~ We finally arrived at our destination: the National Museum. You need to spend more time here as the museum consisted of a few big buildings that required people to go up and down the stairs. They did another good presentation of the history of Thailand, especially the culture, religion and royalty sections.

This could be a temple and this was just one huge building of its own. We were too tired to read or to find out.

MOVIE REVIEW - "NORTHMEN: A VIKING'S SAGA"

23rd October ~ One reason why I chose this movie was because there was no other movie that caught my attention. Thank God, the movie was good to my standard and I did not fall asleep in the cinema.

It was a story about a group of Vikings who were stranded on land after their boat was destroyed in a horrible storm. They met a group of Scottish people and started fighting and found a princess that was actually to be forced into marriage by her father. Now, they had not only tried to get back to their motherland, but they also had to save the princess who was ordered to be killed by her father. And in all the scenes, there were non-stop fighting, old school, involving all sorts of weapons like swords, axes, machetes, knives, arrows, sharpened sticks. WARNING: they were violent fighting scenes of people getting chopped off or slayed to death. What do you expect? Vikings had no mercy. But for one thing, there was very little CGI effects so there were real fighting scenes, with blood and all, not like what you had seen in a Spiderman movie. By the way, there was only one woman actor throughout the movie - except in the earlier scene where people were having a party in the castle there were other women but for a short while.

I have a feeling there will be a sequel to this movie real soon.

Clockwise: at the foyer of the movie theatre, in front of the poster of the movie watched, the tickets and at the parking lot after the movie.

Thanks Mr. Syazwan for the time spent before going back to Ipoh. And good luck for your finals.

HI-TEA GATHERING FOR ANGKLUNG GROUP

25th October 2014 ~ This was an event that had been planned much earlier for the Angklung Group. The date was also chosen considering the fact that the form 5 students will be sitting for their examination soon so it would be better to carry out earlier. Mutiara Hotel was chosen one more time as I like the variety of food choices available.

There were 17 Angklung group members and 2 teachers who came for the function. Two people were not there for unknown reasons while the other one is now enjoying himself (I think and I hope) in Spain. However, Puan Intan Badariah had to leave earlier.

met an ex-student cum ex-angklung player

Other than eating as much as we could, the other activity was exchanging presents among the group members. And that was all.

I am sure going to miss this moment and of the people in the group. And I will also miss playing angklung. :(

ATTENDING THE WEDDING OF HELWA TAMAR JAYA

25th October 2014 ~ I sped off to Rumah Alumni Universiti Teknologi Malaysia right after the hi-tea event at Mutiara Hotel and lucky enough, I managed to get there on time to attend the wedding of an ex-student, Ms. Helwa Tamar Jaya from SPM batch 2004. It looked like I was the last guest to arrive but the bride waved at me as I entered the hall, for a photography session.

I met the bride's other siblings who were also the ex-students: Azan (I hope I get the name right) from SPM batch 2002 and Nabila from SPM batch 2009.

Wishing Helwa and Hafzan a happy and blessed marriage life with sunshine and rainbow during the day, and stars twinkling in the dark sky at night.
