8th SEPTEMBER 2022 ~ The Borneo Cultures Museum is the latest attraction in Kuching, Sarawak. The huge building was located right beside our hotel we were staying and we decided to visit this place on the very last day, right after we had checked out of the hotel.
We were there at about 11:00 a.m. and there were already long queues forming at the ticket counter. It was a school holiday so many people were taking their children to visit the museum. The museum was opened to public in August and it was free entry for the locals at that time. Guess people were still excited to see this new place even it was not free anymore.
The building was huge and there were 4 levels of exhibition halls.
The exhibition was extensive and one would need to spend like one day here to see everything.
The place was equipped with high technology. In certain places, there were interactive activities with computerized audio-visual aids and gadgets. The children should love this very much. However, I could see they were more interested to get their hands on the panels and consoles without even watching/listening to the content and absorbing the information.
I think this museum should be the biggest one in the country.
Definitely a must-go place for museum lovers. I think for the museum administrators is to maintain the good condition of the museum for many more years to come. And I don't mind visiting the museum again in the future.
