BOYS' NIGHT OUT

One event led to another. During the short visit, someone was suggesting for a movie session and today it was done. Luckily, I found another one online, Shah Erhan, while checking my e-mail and lucky enough he was free. The more the merrier and I think this was a record for the biggest number of ex-students involved in a watching movie activity. Hazizul chose "The Next Three Days". Originally, Azeze wanted to watch both "Rapunzel" and "Unstoppable" back-to-back but due to time constraint, we could only watch one movie.

Right after that, we went for our late dinner at a restaurant nearby, as suggested again by Hazizul as he is the one who should be very familiar with this area as his office is around this place.

A few people had to go to work the next morning and two just got better from some sort of fever/sickness/flu so the gathering had to be adjourned at about 11:30 p.m. This should be some sort of our bachelor party for Azeze, Malaysian version, and we wonder whether the number of people would decrease for our next gathering.

MOVIE REVIEW 23 - THE NEXT 3 DAYS

Straight to the plot of the story. A wife was mistakenly suspected murdering her own boss after (1) someone saw her in her car leaving the murder scene (2) the dead body was found near her parked car without her noticing it (3) her fingerprints was found on the murder weapon i.e. a fire extinguisher when she was putting it somewhere else as the object was obstructing her car (4) blood of the dead was found on the coat she was wearing when the real murderer ran into her (unintentionally) (5) she had a heated argument with the boss right before the incident at the office. See? With no alibi, her chance to prove herself innocent was zero.

The only person left who still believed that she was innocent was none other than her beloved husband and he was the only person who would not let her spend the rest of her life in jail. So within the three years he had, he started planning of ways to take her out of jail and experimenting several methods in setting her free.

This was when all the actions started to set in - the police going after the fugitive. Luckily it ended with a happy note, both the husband and wife, plus their son, managed to escape to Venezuela. Enough of the suspense throughout the movie, if they did not succeed to run away, I might die of a heart attack in the cinema. Another movie that would take a long time to forget, especially when Russell Crowe was in it.

My effort to upload the few videos in the zoo was in vain. Let's not put the beautiful pictures into waste, enjoy the last series of the pictures from the visit to the Singapore Zoo.

To sum up, let's ponder upon the words of wisdom of the old Cree Indian, beautifully written but very meaningful.

STUDENTS VISITING - AND A WEDDING INVITATION

A group of three students came visiting today, two were familiar faces and one was the one that had not been seen since many years back. Azeze, Hazizul and Fairuz came over and there was one main reason, someone was getting married in about three weeks time.

So Azeze was here to surrender his invitation card personally. That was really a kind gesture. Nowadays, people simply post their invitation card on their Facebook wall and expect everyone tagged to just notice it. It might be practical to some people but deep inside, I still feel at least an invitation card would be proper in order to show one's sincerity in inviting friends to his or her big event.

I was also glad to see Fairuz again after so many years. He planned to come earlier with the others during the past Hari Raya visit but it was not materialized for some reasons. He left SMKTUN for another school in 2000.

It was a brief visit but it was still fun just the same. So, if your outing trip this Wednesday can be carried out, do inform me earlier so I can see whether how it can fit into my schedule.

It is always a pleasure to see my ex-students. Many of them are already out in the real world. Some disappear into thin air while a few will make their appearance once in a while. Today it was a dinner date planned via Yahoo Messenger with Mr. Zabidi who has graduated from university and already working.

My tummy is still full at the moment of posting this entry. So thanks Mr. Zabidi for the treat, next time do not forget we will go and visit Pasar Karat at JB town.

THE ANIMALS IN SINGAPORE ZOO - PART 2

I have tried time and time again to upload the other video but the effort was still in vain. So let's see some other pictures of animals that were captured by my digital camera. See whether you are able to name them.
