OF OPEN DAY AND A ROOM ON FIRE

The school Open Day was held today. Parents were invited to school to see the teachers so they would be well informed about their kids' performance academically. Other than that, the parents would be briefed on other issues which were related to their children's behaviour in school.

A few parents with their children started to arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. to get things done and over with, and most probably they had to go to work right after the meeting. The attendance was quite good, many people turned up but sadly for some, they just did not care. Just imagine, within a period of one year, this could be one of the few days when parents could come and see face to face with the teachers.

At the same time, another bad incident took place on the same day. As I arrived in school, I realized that there was something room with the Discipline Room. It was on fire the night before. This reminded me of the same thing that happened to our staff room a few years back on Open Day. I did not know honestly whether this was act of arson or the result of a short circuit but I really hope the fire happened because of the latter. So we have now to move seven teachers out from that room but the question that still has to be answered is: where to?

PMR SEMINAR - SMK TASEK UTARA

I went to conduct another PMR seminar in SMK Tasek Utara yesterday. (It was SMK Kempas the day before but couldn't get my photo taken there) I have been one of the regular speakers at that school for a few years already. I get regular invitations from schools and at times I think it is because either they like me or they do not have any other choice for guest speakers.

The trial exam is just around the corner so there are just too many invitations that at times I get confused of my own schedule. I need an organizer or a PA.

ALL AROUND KENSINGTON GARDEN

I think I just can sit on one of the benches without doing anything but just watch the surrounding here, for hours, until the sky turns dark.
















































I guess this would be my last posting of some of the photographs of my recent trip. Hope you love it as much as I do. (There is going to be one more set of pictures of flowers which will be accompanied by a poem later, the very last one from Germany)

PMR SEMINAR - SMK SRI KUKUP

It was the first time for me to travel to Kukup to conduct a seminar for the students. It was quite far and it took approximately 90 minutes to arrive there. Once in a while, it was good to be able to see new faces and environment.

I am looking forward to another trip there because a spot nearby should be the southern tip of the Asia continent geographically speaking.
