INFORMAL KAYAK COMPETITION

Too many things to update, I need more time to compose about the camping trip we had last weekend. For the time being, enjoy the clip of the kayak activity on the lake.

MSS JOHOR TRACK AND FIELD OPENING CEREMONY 2011

The day finally arrived but there was less excitement as compared to our first involvement in the national level opening ceremony last year.

Too bad, all the marching contingents had to be ready by 1:30 p.m. when the VIP only arrived an hour later. It was real hot but there was not much choice.

While waiting for the event to kick off, we saw a group of SMKTUN's students ( or rather a busload) from 3EK1 who had come (or forced to come) to witness this historical event - the more the merrier.

The whole thing ended quite fast to everyone's relief so it was time to call it a day. I just hope the people at the education department will not forget about the certificates the boys deserved to get for taking part in the state level event.

KADET BOMBA'S CAMPING ACTIVITY 2011

I came back from UTM for our camping trip this evening. It was 3D2N event. Too tired to write more, but there will be more stories and pictures coming your way real soon.

ATTENDING NASLIANA'S WEDDING

SATURDAY, 16th APRIL 2011

Mr. Hisham and I managed to "run away" from the camping for a while to attend a wedding invitation. [That explains my improper attire to the reception, I hope] It was an ex-student's, Nasliana Shaarin, the sister to Khairul Nisab, Amirul Husni and Muhammad Asyraf. Sooner or later, it will be their turns.

REHEARSAL FOR THE OPENING CEREMONY OF MSS JOHOR TRACK & FIELD 2011 - DAY 2

SECOND DAY

The second rehearsal was held at 2:00 p.m. and that would be the exact time we had to be at the stadium for the opening ceremony officiated by the Prince of the Sultan of Johor. The good news was that we were now going to march past the crowd instead of the original plan of standing motionless on the field while waiting for the athletes of various districts to enter the stadium during the ceremony. The practice was done only once as it was raining so let's just pray for a sunny day next Monday.

INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP COURSE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE TEACHERS

When was the last time I attended a course in a hotel? It must have been a long time ago that I could remember when it was. So the principals, senior assistants (academic affair) and senior assistants of the afternoon session of Johor Bahru district were invited (or forced) to a one-day course at Selesa Hotel.

Even though I dozed off a bit at the initial part of the session, I managed to stay awake and I even copied down notes. And when I got bored, I took unnecessary pictures.

The best part was there was some sort of a farewell lunch for a retiree and a principal who will be going to the State Education Department. Good food and comfortable place (although the hall was a bit warm), it was a course worth attending. However, I had to go away before the 2 o'clock session started to see the Kadet Bomba boys at the stadium, I did not complain but I was happier.
