MY FIRST EAT OUT SESSION FOR 2022

My first eat out session for the year 2022 only happened on the second week of January. Thanks to Mr. Muhammad Solihin Ramli, the student I taught English tuition at Asrama Semai Bakti Felda when he was in form three many years ago.

The venue for the meeting was Midvalley Mega Mall and we opted to dine in at Secret Recipe.

I have to thank Mr. Solihin again for the outing and I realized that the C19 pandemic has robbed off my many eating out sessions and social gatherings with friends and ex-students. I am hoping that things will get back to the way they are soon. Hopefully we could meet up again for another gastronomic adventure soon.

And I met an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti while on my way to the car park, Mr. Hanif Abu Ba'dah, who is currently working there. He was asking me to join him for dinner with another friend next week. That was the plan so far and I am yet to see whether it will be materialize.

ATTENDING THE WEDDING RECEPTION OF MS. SARAH KHALIDA

8th JANUARY 2022 ~ We had not been in touch for quite a long time and when the Whatsapp message arrived inviting me to her wedding reception, I had no reason not to be present. Miss Sarah Khalida was an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti and she is now the wife of Mr. Toseef Khan.

I was one of the early birds that evening and there were not many people yet when I arrived so I managed to get more photos this time for the blog.

The reception was held at R.O. Memories @ The Spring in the evening. This was my second time attending a wedding reception at this venue.

Fortunately, there were a few people whom I recognized among the hosts and guests, people who were once attached to SMK Taman Universiti. Two of them were the sisters of the bride, Miss Salma Sakeena and Ms. Suhail Nadiah, who happen to be my ex-students too.

Mini reunion with ex-students and ex-colleagues always took place during wedding reception, 

To bad I had to excuse myself earlier as the next morning would be the first day of school.

Thanks again Miss Sarah Khalida for the kind thought. I always feel appreciated to be invited to wedding receptions of ex-students and the children of ex-colleagues. Wishing both the newlyweds everlasting marriage filled with never-ending love and happiness.

GETTING MY THIRD VACCINATION BOOSTER SHOT

The appointment for my third booster shot appeared on MySejahtera and the vaccination centre was at City Plaza. I went there right after school which was just nearby and I was happy to no end to see there was no crowd at all at the building entrance. Everything went smoothly, the queue was very short and everything was over less than 15 minutes.

I was here on Friday for my sister's appointment in the morning. There was a large crowd and things were a bit chaotic at first. THE REASON: people did not follow the exact appointment time. I found out two people whose appointments were in the afternoon were already joining others at 10:00 a.m.

Let's now pray that I will not get any side effects from the injection and will be safe from the dreaded C19 in the long run. Prevention is better than cure.

THE FIRST SHOPPING TRIP FOR 2022

When boredom sets in, one has to find a way to entertain himself.

I actually had to find a few items as presents for people being transferred and trying to get something for myself as well. And I ended up in Johor Factory Outlet [JPO] to join other people shopping at branded outlets and feeling rich for once.

There were not that many people and there were long queues outside certain stores.

Mission accomplished in less than 2 hours. I actually spent more time waiting for my turn outside the Adidas outlet.

ATTENDING THE FIRST WEDDING RECEPTION OF 2022

The first wedding reception of the 2022 was of an ex-student's of SMK Taman Universiti, Ms. Athirah Omar [SPM 2007]. The event was held at Daiman 18 Golf Club in Taman Johor Jaya.

The only person I recognized there was the sister of the bride, Ms. Aisyah Omar [SPM 2004], who is also an ex-student, so I had a company for the photo session. 😀

I would have to thank Ms. Athirah for her kind thought inviting me to her big day. Wishing both the newlyweds a happy and loving marriage life ahead and may you be both showered with never ending joy and happiness.

Let's see whether there will be more wedding receptions to be invited and attended this year compared to 2020 and 2021.
