31st MARCH 2022 ~ The form 5 students of SPM cohort 2021 of SMK Dato' Jaafar, to my surprise, organized their own graduation party on the last week of the public exam. The school used to hold such event for the school leavers but it could not be done because of the C19 pandemic.
The venue chosen was New York Hotel and the teachers teaching the students of this batch were invited (but we still had to pay 😀). We rushed to the hotel right after school at 2:00 p.m. hoping to eat all the food as we were hungry but there were still all the formal sessions of prayer recitation, the singing of all the state and school songs and the national anthem, plus the speeches. We should have reminded them to make things informal so we could just eat once we arrived. 😀
As usual, there were the performances by the boys and there was even a live band on stage. Nevertheless, I had to leave home earlier.
Congratulations to the alumni of SMK Dato' Jaafar SPM batch 2021 for the success in organizing such an event - something I did not expect they would be capable of doing. Wishing each and everyone of you the best of luck in your future undertakings.
