THE 8th DAY OF EID 1436H

24th July 2015 ~ Another ex-student from SMTUN's SPM batch 2002 came visiting with his wife. Mr.Shamsul Nahar is currently teaching in Labis, Segamat, starting January this year. He was here not only for Eid but also to hand over a wedding invitation card for his sister' wedding.

Now that he is staying in another place, I guess we will get to see each other once in a year at least.

THE 7th DAY OF EID 1436H

23rd July 2016 ~ Out of the blue, someone whom I have not met for a very long time messaged me on FB telling he would like to pay me a visit. And here he was, Dr. Azzad Hamzah (SPM batch 2002), with his wife, son and niece, finally. I did not teach Dr. Azzad in SMKTUN but he was in the school chess team before he went off to a boarding school after PMR. One good thing about having an ex-student who is practising medicine is that I could always get a free consultation for any health related matter :) via FB.

The other group of guests arriving after 10:30 p.m. were Mr.Syazwan (and his two brothers) and Mr. Fahmi, from SMKTUN's SPM batch 2013. They were still on their Eid break and would be going back to their respective colleges this coming Sunday.

one very sleepy guest :)

One week of Eid is already gone, three more to go...

THE 6th DAY OF EID 1436H

22nd July 2014 ~ I don't get many girl ex-students who come visiting during Eid. One reason, my house is quite a distance away from theirs. However, these are the girls who are my regular guests even though the number has been decreasing over the years. They are from SPM batch 2006 and of the girls, who happens to be the sister of another girl, is still studying in form 4 in SMKTUN. She was in my English class when she was in form 1 and 2.

I prefer to have smaller group of people at one time so that I could give them my undivided attention while chatting. I guess the annual meeting is important to get ourselves updated of things that we have been missing throughout the year. Now we have to wait for another year for another reunion.

THE 5th DAY OF EID 1436H

21st July 2015 ~ In the morning of the 5th day of Eid, a group of Chinese friends  with their kids from SMKTUN were here to visit. Mr. Ong Poh Shin and Pn.Lee Kim Luan, who are now enjoying their retirement days, were also present. They were all wearing red and accidentally I was in a red shirt too. Hopefully, this would bring luck, wealth and prosperity. :)

thanks for the Raya gift

so sweet :)

The next guests in the evening were Puan Yusidah Yusof, another friend from SMKTUN, and her family members. Two of her children are my ex-students. Miss Najwa is from SPM batch SPM 2012 while her brother is now in form 4.

And the last visitors (before the clock struck 12) were a group of ex-students from SPM batch 2012. 6 of them were the members of the school's Kadet Bomba and the other two were in my English class when they were in school.

That was the largest number of people from SMKTUN I had met in one day so far. There are still many more days ahead for visiting and bonding time, and I am looking forward to see familiar faces.

THE 4th DAY OF EID 1436H

A group of ex-students from SPM batch 2004 came visiting this evening. Two of them were here with their wives and kids. It is quite difficult to get everyone to sit together as a big group like last time as he/she has a different schedule to follow now.

Thanks Mr. Murshid Hidayat, Ms. Nurdyana Hasan, Mr. Nazary Mohamad and Mr. Abdul Hadi Jaafar (as well as the other family members) for coming. Hope to see you again (at least) for Eid next year.

THE 3rd DAY OF EID 1436H

I had two old friends who were my TESL coursemates from UPM at home today for Eid.

The visiting continued today and the first guests were Puan Suhana Abd. Jamal, her husband and this time only his son. They were here before going back to Sungai Petani late in the afternoon.

Then Puan Rozaina Abdul Latif made her first visit ever to my house with here husband in the evening. We were reconnected last year via FB and just realized that her in-law's place is actually located quite near to my house. It was only a short stay as they would also be going back to their hometown in Melaka right after.

I wonder whether there would be any college friends that I am going to see later for Eid this year.

- LATEST UPDATE -

Just when I thought it was time to call it a day, someone messaged me telling whether it would still be OK to come as it was quite late. We are still in festive holiday so a group of four ex-students from SPM batch 2006 were here half an hour before midnight.

Congratulations for being the first group of ex-students to be at my house for Eid. I am quite sure there will be more people to entertain later.

THE 2nd DAY OF EID 1436H

18th JULY 2015 ~ I am very happy to welcome friends and ex-students to my house on the second day of Eid. The first two groups were my old friends from UPM and TESL group who were here regularly for Eid celebration. They were here with their family members - the more the merrier. Puan Farah Sabina lives in Seremban while Puan Maslinda hails from Subang Jaya.

The next group comprised of ex-students and their family members who have become family friends by now. However, a family member was not here as he had to be at his in-law's place somewhere else.

The last visitors of the day were also friends from UPM and my TESL class, with their kids. How I have seen the children grow up for the last five years. Dr. Hayati Ismail and her family are currently residing in Putrajaya.

This was just the beginning. I am expecting to see more people real soon.
