MOVIE REVIEW - "MOANA"


When the fish no longer swam around the island and the plants were all destroyed, Moana, the 16 year old daughter of the chief, was determined to solve the problems for her people. Even though her father forbade her, Moana sailed into the open and wild sea and met Maui [the voice provided by Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson who is a Samoan], the demi-god, who once stole the heart of the goddess Te Fiti. They had to return the heart to its rightful owner and hence, the adventure began and friendship was developed between the two.
  

I just saw good things in the movie, with positive values in abundance and many comical scenes. With beautiful animation and beautiful music, something like a semi-musical movie, what else should one be asking for? 

This movie was based on the myth and legend of the Polynesians. I tried to google for more and I found quite a lot of interesting links which I would visit and read later. Watching "Moana" is actually not just for entertainment, but one could also learn and appreciate others' values, culture and history. I
