29th MAY 2023 ~ When our attempt to get food from Pasar Kianggeh failed, we had to hunt for it somewhere else. The people at the market were friendly and told us that there were restaurants just across the street.
The first challenge was to find out whether the restaurant was selling halal food as it looked like a Chinese shop. I asked two ladies who were outside and told us that the restaurant sold halal food and there were actually many Muslims inside.
We just settled for Chicken Rice for brunch and surprisingly, a plate only cost BND3.50 which would be very cheap (if you do not convert the currency to Ringgit Malaysia).
The food was good, tasted the same with what we had at home. We were ready to explore the city once the tummy was filled and happily left Kedai Kopi Cahaya Indah [translate: coffee shop].
