I decided to put up in Seri Malaysia Hotel in Sungai Petani for two nights during my short stay there, from 15th - 17th May 2025.
Location wise, the hotel is situated opposite the Sungai Petani Train Station, just across the road. Definitely the best choice if you are taking the train to get to the town.
For one thing, I managed to get the room at a very reasonable price when booking on Agoda 3 days before arriving.
The room is spacious and clean, and much better than Seri Malaysia Johor Bahru comparatively speaking.
Other than that, the hotel is also near the market and bus station. I could easily get my food for breakfast in the morning from the stalls around the area.
I don't mind staying at Seri Malaysia Hotel when I come back again to Sungai Petani [which will be real soon].
