THE BREAKFAST SESSION IN PENAGA, PENANG


   15th MAY 2025    ~ Puan Suhana Abdul Jamal [a friend of UPM TESL Class of 1993] and her husband were waiting for me at Penang Sentral when I arrived in the morning. Even though the initial plan was to take the commuter train to Sungai Petani, they were kind enough to drive me there. However, the first stop was to get breakfast in Penaga, Penang, before going to the market.



Being the gracious host, Puan Suhana took me to this one place called Teratak Wan Din that was located between houses in a Malay village. We were there at about 10:00 a.m. which was already past breakfast time so there were not many people dining at that time.

With all the food on the table, the breakfast had then become brunch for us. I did not take lunch but ate the [unfinished] Toast that I took back to the hotel.

That was just the beginning of the gastronomic adventure I experienced when I was in Penang/Kedah this time. The eating activities just never stopped.
