TREKKING INTO BAKO NATIONAL PARK - PART ONE

7TH SEPTEMBER 2022  ~ I was actually quite worried to take part in this trekking activity for the fear of getting injured. Hence, we chose Lintang Trail - the shortest and the least challenging of all the three treks available.

It was a great relief to see that we had to walk on wooden planks at the early part of the trekking activity.

The adventure was not to test your physical strength by the way. Our guide, Mr. Mazlan, would stop and tell us about the flora and fauna around - mostly the flora. Therefore, you need to have not only a pair of strong feet, but also the ability to observe the surrounding and listen attentively to all the information told by the guide.

The many stops were good in a way as we had the opportunity to observe more closely and take more photos.

spot the snake

The guide found the very first poisonous snake on the tree that camouflaged itself among the leaves.

There was also a school of catfish in the small, shallow pond near the big rocks.

There was so much to see and to learn, and I did not expect the trekking trip to be this educational.
