TREKKING INTO BAKO NATIONAL PARK - PART THREE

7TH SEPTEMBER 2022  ~ The second leg of the trekking was more challenging as we had to do a lot of climbing up narrow and steep paths. It was more hilly at this area so I had to be extra careful.

spot the snake. again

The guide spotted another snake, the same species of the one we had seen earlier. Known as Ular Kapak in Malay, this green viper trimeresurus hageni is a poisonous snake.

Other foreign tourists were also amazed to see the green snake.

There were many plants with medicinal value and of which was Tongkat Ali, or Longjack in English [eurycoma longifolia]. The plant is commonly known for its benefits as an aphrodisiac..

spot the monkeys

We got to see the monkeys called Lotong in Malay language [trachypithecus obscurus] before leaving but unfortunately the Proboscis monkeys did not come out from the forest on that dayWe then had to go to another spot by boat to see another wonder of nature on the sea.
