SATURDAY, 20TH MARCH - SO LONG, FAREWELL...
just before leaving the chalet
Had to wake up as early as 5:30 a.m. as we had to catch the early ferry. With eight people staying in one room with only one bathroom, the timing must be right.
waiting for the 7:45 a.m. ferry at the jetty
I would like to thank Mr. Majed, an ex-student, who is now working in Manjung, for being kind enough to buy us the bus tickets from Lumut. By doing that, we could be ensured of our seats earlier. It was really a short meeting with Mr. Majed over breakfast but do hope to seeing him again. And by 9:00, we bade our farewell to Lumut and Pangkor Island - with definitely warm and wonderful memories which would last a lifetime.
We arrived in Lumut Jetty for our 9:00 a.m. bus back to Johor Bahru. So we had enough time for another round of breakfast before a long journey home.
And just in case, you are wondering, how much you will need for a trip to Pangkor Island from Johor Bahru, here is the travel expenses for the 2D2N stay.
And as for the group members, thank you for the good time. Really hope we can go on for another trip some other time in the future.
"Only in the agony of parting
do we look into the depths of love"
