EXPLORING MIRI MARKETS IN THE MORNING [PART TWO]

The continuation of my journey to the markets in Miri from the previous post:

MARKET #1

I actually wanted to go only to Tamu Muhibah but ended up visiting 3 markets in the heart of the city. The second market was like a morning market held by the roadside and it was very interesting as there were some items on sale that I would not find at home.

Fat, juicy maggots, anyone?

MARKET #2

The second market I went to was called "Tamu Muhibah". Other than fresh fish, vegetables and fruits, you could get local products that people will be looking for when they go to Sarawak like Bario rice and Bario salt, salted terubok fish, Sarawak belacan [shrimp cake], kuih cincin and tebaloi.
