MY BINGSU SESSION WITH AN ACADEMICIAN IN JEJU CITY

Miss Sakinah had to meet her foster parent and we were asked to tag along. The meeting was held at a coffee shop, from what I could see on the sign board, but we did not drink any coffee. We were here to meet  Professor Kim who is currently teaching in Jeju Polytechnic and enjoy the cooling and refreshing Korean Bingsu.

Bingsu is "a Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings such as chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup and Adzuki beans". [Wikipedia] It is similar to our own ABC dessert but shamelessly I would say Bingsu is much nicer. It is time for us to transform our ABC to become a healthier dessert at least by adding fruit slices in it.

It was only a very short meeting and it was glad to have a conversation with a real Korean. Hope to see Professor Kim again if she comes to Malaysia.
