27TH AUGUST 2017 ~ The Angklung Group of SMK Taman Universiti was invited to perform at the wedding reception of Ms. Nurul Izyana Abdul Rahman (SMKTUN's SPM batch 2009) held at Sangkar Kristal, Johor Bahru.
The bride's mother was also an ex-teacher of SMK Taman Universiti so there were more people met, ex-students and friends alike.
The earlier batches of Angklung Group members had also done a few performances during receptions before this. I guess we have to foresee some conditions before accepting any invitation to play at wedding event - especially the availability of the angklung players and the suitability of the wedding venue.
Thanks to Ustazah Raja Ainurraziyah and family for inviting us.We were happy indeed to be able to perform for the grand event, and hopefully we had made everyone entertained. And congratulations to the bride and groom, wishing you both a lifetime of everlasting love and happiness.
