A BENCHMARKING TRIP TO ST. PATRICK'S SCHOOL, SINGAPORE [PART 2]

After the visit to the computer lab and Home Science Room, we then adjourned to the Old Library which housed the Heritage Gallery.

We were first given a briefing by Miss Juliana Teo, the Head of the Language Department on the English academic programmes of the school. I found there are many similarities in the course design even though English is taught as the first language in Singapore.

Mr. Lucas Lak then took over and shared with us his success story in developing and bringing up St. Patrick's School to be one of the schools which have done well in the public exams and been recognized by the society. His experience and hard work were really inspiring and he must have the guts and strength to achieve the mission set by the school.

I was truly impressed with the Heritage Exhibition held at one side of the Library, which tells the history of the school. The way how things were exhibited were just like a mini museum.

We were there for only two hours but we have learnt quite a lot and hopefully will be able to do a few things that we have observed. Thanks to the staff of St. Patrick's School for the hospitality.
