20TH OCTOBER 2024 ~ The activities we did in Venice was walking on the narrow cobbled lanes between ancient buildings. There were canals that zigzagging through the city and the only way to get across the water was to climb up the many stairs to get on the bridges. That should be very challenging for people who have knee problems like me, and I really had to go slow so as not to injure myself.
Once in a while, we would just stop and get into the shops to look at and buy small souvenirs.
The small stops were necessary to take a breather once in a while. Or sometimes we just had to stop take photos along the way.
We were there for about 6 hours to explore, and that just gave us a glimpse of the historic city. I would have to come back and stay in the city itself in order to get to know the place better. I wonder if that is going to happen.
As for now, I am watching this documentary on the history of Venice on Youtube.
